Outreach Coordinator Position

Director of Faith Formation
Manchester United Methodist Church is a large church in west St. Louis 
 
County with a staff opening for a Director of Faith Formation.   This position calls for a person who can articulate 
a vision for faith formation for all stages of life, and a person who is particularly able to be creative in adult small group learning.  This position calls for a person who can help us answer the questions "what does it mean to be a member of The United Methodist Church?" and "are all stages of faith formation aligned toward forming faithful disciples?"  The Director will have oversight for all aspects of Christian Education, including children's, youth, and adult learning, and will have the administrative skills to work with current staff in each of those areas.
 
 
 
 
The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.  A related degree is important, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.  An attractive benefits package is available.

Manchester United Methodist Church is a large church in west St. Louis

Outreach and Mission.  This position calls for a person who can articulate a
vision for each member of the congregation to recognize the call of baptism,
to discover their ministry gifts, and to respond in the service of others.
This position calls for a person who is passionate about connecting the
church and the world, both near and far.  The Director will be called upon
to be creative in individual ministries, small group ministries, as well as
all-church mission events.

Youth Pastor/Director
Manchester United Methodist Church, a 3,500 member congregation in the western suburbs of St. Louis, MO. is seeking a full-time Youth Pastor/Director to help oversee its growing youth ministry with 6th to 12th grade students.
 
Responsible for the foundations of sustainable youth ministry. This includes program design and execution; youth contact work; and relationship building with parents and a dedicated volunteer youth support team. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are ordained or have a degree in religious studies, consistent with Wesleyan theology.
