College United Methodist Church in Warrenton, Missouri is hiring an Administrative Assistant to the pastor and the church office.  Administrative Assistant is a 21 hour/ week position (Tuesday – Friday). 
This individual is the front-line ministry assistant to the pastor and the church office.  Must be self-directive and capable of working in fast-paced, supportive, collaborative environment.  Supervises the church office, including office volunteers.  Answers phones and greets visitors.  Purchases office supplies and coordinates with vendors/suppliers for goods and/or services.  Maintains church calendar for internal ministry events and outside groups using building.  Publishes the weekly bulletin and monthly newsletter.  Maintains membership records in computer database.  Maintains mailing and electronic distribution lists and sends communications as needed.  Assists fellow staff members with other tasks as deemed necessary.  Coordinates tasks with ministry volunteers.  Assists with advertising and marketing through local and social media.  Assists Finance Team and generates reports.  Performs other duties as assigned.
Computer skills, including Publisher, Word, Excel, QuickBooks
Previous office experience desired
High School diploma or equivalent and good communication skills

Faith UMC in St. Charles is seeking a part-time Church Nursery Attendant. The position of Nursery Attendant is to care for the babies and young children during church services and meetings or other events as needed/requested.

  • The Nursery Attendant must be at least 18-years-old
  • Be able to pass a police check
  • Safe Sanctuaries Certified; it is the attendant’s responsibility to maintain his/her Safe Sanctuaries Certification.
 Primary Responsibilities:
  • Upon arrival to the Nursery the attendant must complete a safety/cleanliness checklist to verify that there are no danger or safety issues for the children. If the checklist does not meet identified standards, report to immediate supervisor at his/her earliest convenience.
  • Require each child/infant to be signed in and signed out. The nursery attendant has the right and the responsibility to require a picture ID, if necessary, at pick up.
  • Only use items/supplies that are designated for Nursery use.
  • The nursery attendants must stay in the Nursery until the last child is signed out.
  • Complete the checklist before leaving and leave the completed form in the church office.
  • Nursery attendants are encouraged to participate in continuing education opportunities when appropriate. It is the responsibility of the SPRC to request funds for this purpose in the annual church budget.

Faith UMC in St. Charles is seeking a part-time Media Coordinator. The Media Coordinator will be responsible for creating and running the presentation that accompanies the worship services. He/She will also create and manage content on the church’s website as well as other social media channels.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Utilize knowledge of the current computer OS, PC hardware, and PresenterPro® software to create presentations including sermon and song lyric posting for worship services.
  • Arrive no later than 35 minutes prior to the start of the first service on Sunday morning to set up the AV system.
  • Operate the AV system during the service and shut it down properly following the service.
  • Troubleshoot difficulties that may occur with the software, computer, and/or monitors.
  • Enhance social media presence by effectively managing information/communication on the church’s website as well as its Facebook page.
  • Knowledge of WordPress application is a plus.F
  • Train volunteers to operate the AV system if needed as backup
  • Work in a team setting and take directions.
  • Possess good communication skills and the ability to think quickly and react/trouble-shoot properly in high stress situations as they arise.

North Hills United Methodist Church in North St Louis County (Ferguson/Dellwood Area) is seeking a Worship Leader/Pianist to work with the pastor in planning music, to play/lead music during worship and to lead rehearsal weekly. Worship is 11:00 to 12:00 Noon Sunday mornings. Rehearsal time/day will be negotiated with applicant. 

We would love a worship leader who can sing and play, but singing is optional.

University United Methodist Church, a diverse congregation in University City, MO, is hiring an Office Manager to provide administrative support to the church staff and lay leadership.  The Office Manager’s duties:
  • serve as the first point of contact for the church during scheduled hours;
  • oversee the administrative tasks of the office including filing, keeping attendance, keeping financial and membership records, and monitoring and ordering supplies;
  • recruit, train, and supervise lay volunteers to assist with routine office tasks;
  • must be proficient at office/database management, word processing, mailing, and other administrative support;
  • support the communications efforts of staff and lay leaders;
  • work closely with the Communications Manager, providing backup and support.
15 hours per week (MWF).
